This Directorate trains:
Basic Training HG: Learns the basics of arms, law & order and Traffic control.
Advance Training HG: Training for 30 days in sophisticated arms, law and order and Disaster Management.
During 2008, there was an embargo in the training of basic and advanced Home Guards during the month of September/08. This Directorate trained 894 Nos. of active Home Guards to be appointed as SPO’s (Special Police Officers).
The SPO’s are deployed for guarding the National Highway Project in Haflong.
